Jesus Was Fitting

The work that Jesus came here to do was fitting, not just in the scope of the plan of God, but it fit everything that Scripture had said about the Messiah. In Hebrews 2:10-18 we look at how Jesus became perfect through suffering, how that we are made partakers through His salvation, and how that Jesus was the propitiation for our sins.

John’s Vision of the Church

Have you ever had something that you said taken out of context? It can be frustrating to say the least, that is why before we dive into our new series on the 7 Churches of Revelation we first want to get the picture of the Church as John sees it. In this vision John uses one word "Golden" to describe the Churches that he see's, but what does that word say about us? It speaks to our rarity, value, purity and durability in this world. In the end we all want to be a light shining in the darkness. So I ask you, is your light shining?

In this sermon we take a look at two different end times passages; Matthew 24 and 1 Thessalonians 4 to show the differences in these to events. Where one points to the Second Coming of Christ the other points to the Rapture of the Church. In the second part of the sermon we take a look at two of the four major views of the Rapture.

Jesus is Better than Us!

Hebrews 2:5-9 and Psalm 8 - Every person has someone in their life that they look up to, but more times than not that person will at some point end up letting you down. The sad reality of life is that we are all sinners and we all fall short, but Jesus is so much better than us. He came to be and to do what we could not do. Therefore, Jesus received glory in creation, conception and will receive glory in consummation.

The Ascension of Christ and the Retention of the Disciples

After the resurrection of Jesus and between the ascension we see that something changed in the disciples. They become something far greater than they were just a few days earlier. In this sermon we note four differences in their lives that are shown in the ascension story, they are; the unity of the believers, the leadership of the broken, the steadfastness in the word and the dependence in God's will.

Such Great Salvation

Sunday Night Sermon Series Through Hebrews; Hebrews 2:1-4. God had given the Hebrew people something so much greater than the Law as He has us in Salvation, but it is so easy to drift away from and neglect. We need to be careful that we like the Hebrew people don't sell that which is far more valuable for that which has no value. Have you drifted away from God? Have you neglected the salvation of God? If so then isn't it time that you turn back before its to late?

God’s Foolproof Plan

Sunday Morning's Sermon; There are many things in life that we believe simply because we have been told that they are true. How many of us ever met George Washington, or were witnesses to World War 1, but we believe these events happen because they were ingrained into our culture. In this morning's sermon we take a look at some of the most important evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ the post-resurrection appearances. Using Luke 24:36-49 we see that Jesus' presence brought peace, physicality, proof and purpose to the life of the disciple after the resurrection and He can do the same to us today.

Keys to Understanding the Rapture and the Second Coming

Our Wed night sermon series on "What We Believe" in this sermon we take a deeper look at Article 18- Things to Come. Which include the rapture and the second coming of Christ. There are many questions that surround these two events so we take the time to look at a few keys to help us understand these events. Those keys include; Where did the 7 year tribulation come from in Scripture? What is Daniel's 70 weeks? The difference between the Church and Israel? and the difference between the two events of the rapture and the second coming.
